Job Advert: Environmental, Health and Safety Associate (EHS Associate)

Are you passionate about creating a safe and sustainable working environment? Do you have a keen eye for detail and a drive to uphold the highest Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards? If so, we want you to join our team as an EHS Associate.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in the design, implementation, and maintenance of EHS programs and policies.
  • Conduct inspections, tests, and audits to ensure compliance with EHS regulations and internal procedures.
  • Assist in training employees on EHS policies, guidelines, and regulations.
  • Maintain and update EHS records as per established standards.
  • Contribute to the development of EHS policies and support corporate social responsibility (CSR) and sustainability initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal and external specialists on incident investigations and recommend corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 14001 standards and applicable local, state, and federal environmental regulations.
  • Stay informed on the latest H&S regulations to provide guidance on site-level assessments, projects, and problem-solving.
Skills and Attributes:
  • Process Management: Ability to create, document, and enhance business processes.
  • Attention to Detail: High accuracy in handling detailed information and EHS metrics.
  • Effective Communication: Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively train and collaborate with employees.
  • Prioritisation and Self-Management: Ability to manage multiple priorities and make sound decisions on time allocation.
  • EHS Compliance: Working knowledge of PPE, COSHH, Risk Assessments, Incident Management, and other safety regulations.
  • Emergency Preparedness: Ability to prepare processes for emergency situations and conduct risk assessments.
  • Problem-Solving: Analytical thinker with a strong ability to identify root causes and suggest effective control measures.
Educational Qualifications and Experience:
  • NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent.
  • Member of IOSH (Institute of Occupational Safety and Health).
  • Proven experience in an EHS role.
  • High-level proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with electronic documentation.
