Employing over 300 people, our facility is responsible for the design, development and manufacture of large diesel engines which are used in Generator Sets for the Electric Power market. With a history stretching back 90 years, our applications are used as both Primary and Standby Generator power units in key facilities, infrastructures and buildings worldwide.

Role: Assembly operator

Location: ST16 3UB

Pay Rate and hours:

  • The first 12 weeks training period will be paid at £12.90 per hour.Will then increase to standard rate.
  • £13.94 PER HOUR after training complete
  • Hours of work - 07:15 - 16:30 Monday-Thursday (37 Hours)
  • The successful candidate will need to be flexible with shift times should future requirements change.

Responsibilities:

  • Assembling parts to an engine, or sub-assembly of components ready for assembly
  • Assembling parts in a set time period 'Takt time'
  • Adhering to PPE and Health and Safety requirements
  • Some manual lifting may be required
  • Working in a team or individually as required

Requirements:

  • Previous assembly experience is preferred
  • Motivation and drive to achieve targets
  • An understanding of working to safe practices, adhering to health and safety requirements
  • Good level of attention to detail
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
