THE COMPANYA well-established legal firm based in Stafford is seeking an experienced Family Lawyer to join its growing team. Providing comprehensive legal services for both individuals and businesses, the firm has built a strong reputation for excellence in client care. With multiple offices and a commitment to delivering high-quality legal support, the firm offers a dynamic and supportive environment for legal professionals.

THE ROLEThe firm is looking to recruit a Family Lawyer with at least 2+ years PQE in Family Law to join its expanding Family Department. This is a full-time, permanent position with the opportunity for hybrid working, allowing flexibility between home and office work. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a varied caseload of family matters, including divorce, financial settlements, and disputes involving unmarried couples and children. The role requires expertise in alternative dispute resolution, as well as drafting, negotiating, and reviewing court documents such as pleadings and witness statements. Additionally, you will be expected to collaborate with other professionals, including psychologists, doctors, social workers, and police officers. The position also involves researching historical cases relevant to ongoing matters, providing strategic advice, and representing clients both in-office and at court.

REQUIREMENTS• A minimum of 2 years PQE in Family Law.• Experience managing a broad range of family matters, including divorce, financial disputes, property disputes, and children-related cases.• Strong knowledge of financial remedies and alternative dispute resolution.• Experience advising on prenuptial, postnuptial, separation, and cohabitation agreements is desirable.• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.• Strong IT skills and experience working in private practice.• A strong work ethic and a passion for family law.• A valid UK driving licence is preferred.
