THE COMPANYA well-established legal firm in Stafford, renowned for providing comprehensive legal services to both individuals and businesses, is seeking an experienced Legal Assistant in Conveyancing for their Stafford office. This is a full-time, permanent position with an immediate start. The firm operates across multiple offices and has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality legal services. THE ROLEAs a Legal Assistant, you will support fee earners in both commercial and residential conveyancing matters. Your role will involve handling casework, assisting with various teams, and contributing to new business development when required. You will be expected to work efficiently to meet deadlines while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.Key responsibilities include:• Conducting legal research and drafting documents.• Liaising with clients, providing guidance, and addressing queries.• Collaborating with estate agents and maintaining official payment and contract records.• Managing Land Registry documents and title deeds.• Carrying out pre-contract checks to identify any structural issues with properties.• Facilitating the transfer of mortgage deeds.

REQUIREMENTSThe ideal candidate will possess:• A minimum of two years' experience in a similar role.• Strong report-writing skills and a keen interest in property law.• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work within a professional code of conduct.• Effective problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to tasks.• A strong interest in legal research, good numerical ability, and a high level of discretion in handling confidential information.
