About the Role:
Our client is seeking a motivated Fire Service and Maintenance Engineer to join their successful team. This role involves delivering PPM servicing, repairing life safety systems, and ensuring Health & Safety compliance. The engineer will work in various environments and locations, engaging with clients to provide exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities:

  • Service, maintain, and install fire alarm systems (BS5839-1) and emergency lighting systems
  • Complete engineer service reports accurately
  • Report deficiencies in systems
  • Maintain emergency lighting systems and associated equipment
  • Conduct van stock checks and liaise with the Engineering Technical Supervisor and Procurement Department
  • Ensure Health & Safety compliance and report risks promptly
  • Aim for first-time fixes where possible

Requirements:

  • Flexible approach to work (minimum 40 hours per week, Mon-Fri)
  • Full UK Driving License
  • Previous experience with fire alarm systems
  • FIA training (or equivalent) to BS5839-1 Fundamentals
  • Understanding of BS5839 parts one and six
  • Good IT literacy
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety Regulations
