Our client is a well-established heavy industry manufacturing company looking for a Maintenance Engineer (Multi-skilled).
The successful candidate will perform electrical and mechanical maintenance at a busy manufacturing plant, reporting directly to the engineering manager.
Key responsibilities include maintaining and repairing various machinery, electrical fault finding, and site facilities maintenance.
Candidates should have a formal mechanical or electrical engineering qualification and preferably experience in a heavy industry environment.
The position offers an excellent basic salary of £42.4K, with additional benefits including overtime, 28 days annual leave, free on-site parking, and a pension.

Our client is a very established and expanding heavy industry manufacturing company and Staffbase have been appointed to recruit for the position of Maintenance Engineer (Multi-skilled).

The successful applicant will join the busy maintenance team to perform electrical & mechanical maintenance activities at a busy heavy industry manufacturing plant

The Role:

Reporting to the engineering manger the maintenance Engineer will be required to undertake planned and reactive electrical maintenance activities on a wide range of plant, machinery and site facilities.
You duties will include but is not limited to the following;

Mechanical & electrical maintenance / repair of a wide range of machinery including conveyors, crushers, screens, furnaces, cooling plant and much more
Maintenance and repair of hydraulic & pneumatic machinery
Electrical fault find and repair motors, inverters, contactors, sensors, relays etc etc
Site facilities electrical maintenance
PPM

Candidate:

The Maintenance Engineer you will be a competent engineer with good electrical and mechanical fault find and repair skills.

Preferably you will hold formal mechanical or electrical engineering qualification e.g. 17th /18th Edition certification or NVQ level 3 or HND/HNC in electrical engineering.

Previous work experience in heavy industry environment such as foundry, recycling or quarry and aggregates sectors would be an advantage however all applicants with necessary skills will be considered.

Hours of work:

12 hour shifts days and nights
