Our client is a very established and expanding heavy industry manufacturing company and Staffbase have been appointed to recruit for the position of Maintenance Engineer.
The successful candidate will work at our client's busy manufacturing plant near Stafford.
The successful applicant will join the busy maintenance team to perform mechanical maintenance activities in a foundry, fettling shop and machining plant.
The Role:
Reporting to the engineering manger the Maintenance Engineer will be required to undertake planned and reactive maintenance activities on a wide range of plant, machinery and site facilities.
You duties will include but is not limited to the following;
- Mechanical maintenance & repair of a wide range of machinery including conveyors, crushers, screens, furnaces, cooling plant and much more
- Maintenance and repair of hydraulic & pneumatic machinery
- Welding & fabrication
- Basic electrical fault find and repair motors, contactors, sensors, relays etc etc
- Site facilities maintenance
- PPM
Candidate:
The Maintenance Engineer will have excellent mechanical engineering skills and will be competent in fault find and repair work. Applicants with some electrical fault find and repair skills will be beneficial.
Preferably you will hold formal mechanical engineering certification NVQ level 3 or HND/HNC etc etc.
Previous work experience in heavy industry environment such as foundry, recycling or quarry and aggregates sectors would be an advantage however all applicants with necessary skills will be considered.
Hours of work:
4 on 4 off (12 hour shifts days and nights rotating monthly)
