We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join one of our prestigious clients based in Stafford!
This is for a family run business that specialise in the dairy sector who supply to multiple businesses across the Midlands.
Its a great opportunity to join a small, successful engineering team with excellent progression available.
This is a Full-Time, Permanent position!
What youll be doing
- Planned and reactive maintenance
- Work as part of a team of two doing a mix of both Mechanical and Electrical and repairs
- Maintenance of Filling Machines, Wrapping Machines, Inverters, Labelling Machines, Robotics, Pneumatic Systems, Conveyors, Motors, PLCs, Gearboxes, Valves, Pumps etc
- Read engineering drawings
- Some MIG welding
- Aim to maximise performance and reduce production downtime
- Monitor any malfunctioning equipment and report to site management
- Machinery installations
- Facilities maintenance
- Ensure the site is operating safely at all times
Hours
Days, 8am-8pm, 4 on 4 off shift pattern
Pay
£36,000 - £40,000 per annum (Depending on Experience)
Skills/Experience Required
- At least 12 months mechanical engineering experience
- Experience from a production/ manufacturing/ industrial environment preferred
- Welding experience is essential
- Must be able to read engineering drawings and instructions
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- An understanding of Health & Safety
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads
