The Role
You will play a key part in the testing and development of electrical, electronic, and electromechanical systems. Working closely with project teams, you will undertake system development testing, design tasks, and create solutions to meet project objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop system test suites and conduct qualification testing.
- Support schematic design, component selection, and reviews.
- Document tasks and activities following standard operating procedures.
- Participate in internal and external meetings to support project delivery.
- Conduct laboratory testing and occasional on-site commissioning or trials (including overseas travel).
Skills & Knowledge
- Experience in live testing of low-voltage (under 1000V) electrical/electronic equipment.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations and safe operating procedures.
- Desirable skills include digital/analogue circuit design and basic programming experience.
- Strong commitment to learning and professional development.
- Hands-on, adaptable approach to diverse engineering tasks, including design, testing, and assembly.
- Ability to organise verification and qualification tests
Qualifications
- HNC/HND/BTEC or higher in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- A Levels (Grades A-C) or equivalent.
- GCSEs (Grades A-C/9-4) in Math and English or equivalent.
- A valid driving license.
Additional Requirements
- Willingness to travel within the UK and abroad for occasional off-site activities.
- Flexibility to work overtime or non-standard hours when required.
- Ability to obtain necessary security clearance for the role.
