Fancy working in a world-class large engine development facility supporting in the development of new and existing products? Are you up to the challenge of being involved in some really exciting facility upgrades to support a new power generation solution go to market?

We’re looking for a Test Facilities Technical Engineer to work in a Global Engine Test Facility on an initial 12 month assignment basis (with a high possibility of extensions).

  • You will be accountable for the delivery of calibration and maintenance tasks associated with an engine test cell
  • You will support and lead project management activities, purchasing, installation and commissioning of test cell equipment in readiness for engine test projects
  • You will diagnose electrical/mechanical malfunctions in test cell facility or diesel engine components; assess nature of problem and determine corrective action

Core background required for this role includes;

  • Strong understanding of the electrical and mechanical requirements of a working engine test facility.
  • Experience with both AC and DC voltage systems up to 480v
  • A demonstrated knowledge of diesel and gas engine combustion systems
  • Awareness of low voltage electrical systems associated with Diesel generators for providing electricity in prime, continuous, or standby modes
  • Customer focussed, hands on-on team player to assist others meet their goals.
  • Proficient user of computer applications including Word, Excel, and Power Point.
  • A good knowledge of 18th Edition Electrical Safety and Competency desirable
