Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Structural CAD Design Engineer to join our client's dynamic team in Stafford!

You will support the Structural Engineer by providing technical expertise across various product ranges, working both independently and collaboratively to produce site-specific calculations and guide the design process.

The ideal candidate is a graduate capable of working on live projects as well as product development.

This is a Full-Time, Permanent position!

What youll be doing

  • Create and provide calculations to support design proposals, identify necessary amendments, and assess the impact of proposed solutions
  • Conduct integrated modelling, prepare calculations, reports, specifications, and drawings
  • Contribute to risk assessments, method statements, and O&M manuals
  • Ensure task management and delivery to the highest technical and financial standards
  • Prepare client and project proposals, including feasibility studies
  • Produce internal and external reports
  • Support the Product/Materials Testing Programme
  • Attend occasional site meetings and inspections
  • Assist with Temporary Works Designs and checks
  • Support the estimation team by ensuring the suitability of products and solutions for client site environments
  • Contribute to product standardisation as part of the development team
  • Take on tasks and projects assigned by the Structural Engineer

Hours

Monday-Thursday 7:30am-4:30pm & Friday 7:30am-3:30pm

Pay

£30,000 - £35,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Skills/Experience Required

  • UK driving licence is a must
  • Degree (or equivalent) in Engineering or Structural Engineering is essential
  • Proficient in structural design software and AutoCAD
  • Knowledge of applying BS Standards and Eurocodes
  • Wind loading calculations experience is highly desirable
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Solution-oriented and proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Team player who thrives in a multi-disciplinary environment
