My client is one of the leading engine manufacturers, a well-established company in the automobile sector in the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive testing of diesel engine performance and emissions parameters, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze test data to identify areas for improvement and optimization, focusing on performance, fuel efficiency, and emissions reduction.
  • Develop and implement calibration strategies to enhance engine performance and emissions characteristics.
  • Investigate and resolve engine failures and defects, using a structured problem-solving approach and industry-standard methodologies.
  • Prepare clear and concise technical reports summarizing test results, analysis findings, and failure investigations.
  • Collaborate effectively with other engineers, technicians, and project teams to ensure successful project execution.
  • Stay abreast of emerging industry trends, technologies, and regulatory requirements in diesel engine performance and emissions.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience in diesel engine performance and emissions calibration.
  • Strong understanding of diesel engine operating principles, performance characteristics, and emissions control technologies.
  • Proven experience in conducting engine test procedures and analyzing test data.
