Calling all Senior Mechanical Design Engineers!

Blueprint Recruitment have a fantastic new opportunity for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join a reputable Design consultancy on a permanent basis in Stafford. The ideal candidate will be able to operate on a hybrid basis, attending the office 3-4 times a week with the occasional site visit once per week. If selected, you will be a leading force within the team, managing clients and mentoring junior engineers on a variety of exciting high-end Residential projects.

Our client is a firm of mechanical and electrical consulting engineers with a pedigree for innovative engineering design, dynamic project management and aggressive quality control. Over the years they have built an outstanding UK reputation in the building services sector, and are renowned for its high quality designs, specialist advice and disciplined project management.

Key responsibilities:

  • Take a leading role and contributing to feasibility, outline, and detailed design projects.
  • Managing and coordinating the design for multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Leading and conducting site visits as necessary.
  • Collaborating with and providing support to internal stakeholders, clients, and suppliers.
  • Assisting in the development and potential mentoring of junior engineers.
  • Generating required deliverables within specified time, cost, and quality parameters.
  • Offering technical guidance and solutions on projects while supporting fellow engineers.
  • Developing and delivering innovative solutions for clients.
  • Reviewing and checking documents for accuracy and completeness.
  • Contributing to the evolution of more efficient working methods through the adoption of new tools and techniques.

Key requirements:

  • Experience working on Residential projects.
  • Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent.
  • Leadership and coordination of multidisciplinary teams.
  • Chartered Engineer status or actively working toward chartership.
  • Preferable onsite experience.
  • Familiarity with WIMES and other industry standards.
