Khuda Technology has partnered with a client seeking a highly skilled Production Manager. This pivotal leadership role is responsible for managing and coordinating all production activities and staff, ensuring the achievement of safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets for all projects and products. The Production Manager will oversee resource planning and allocation, lead the development of production staff, and ensure compliance with technical and quality standards. Additionally, they will drive a culture of high performance and continuous improvement, supported by the QHSE Manager and the Health & Safety Committee, and manage the facilities, including building safety, security, maintenance, and repair.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage Assembly, Test, Sensors, Manufacturing Engineering, and Facilities Management departments.
  • Ensure staff are effectively deployed to achieve planned cost, schedule, quality, and financial objectives.
  • Support business planning and resource forecasting.
  • Contribute to planning the strategic direction of the business, including future production capabilities.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, safety standards, quality specifications, and regulatory requirements.
  • Implement Lean Manufacturing techniques and practices where appropriate.
  • Track and drive on-time delivery performance and metrics.
  • Provide key technical expertise to design, manufacture, and bid activity.
  • Monitor and report on daily progress against Master Production Schedule targets.
  • Review, modify, and implement efficient and effective department processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Interface with Engineering, Programme Management, Quality, and Supply Chain functions.
  • Conduct interviews and assessments for effective recruitment and selection processes.
  • Manage, lead, and coach team members, including setting objectives and conducting performance reviews.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor department budget; manage expenses within approved budget constraints.
  • Ensure adherence to the highest standards of workplace health and safety.

Skillset:

  • Awareness and understanding of Health and Safety requirements and legislation.
  • Knowledge and experience of modern manufacturing management techniques.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate others.
  • Experience using planning tools to generate resource loading plans and detailed manufacturing schedules.
  • Effective problem-solving skills and decision-making under pressure.
  • Ability to liaise with both internal and external customers, representatives, and key stakeholders.
  • Negotiation skills for dealing with external contracts relating to site services.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of Quality systems and ability to apply them.
  • Familiarity with ISO 14001: 2015 Environmental Management and ISO9001: 2015 Quality Management Systems.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems (such as IFS).
  • Active/Eligibility for Security Clearance
