I am recruiting for a Senior Buyer position at a global manufacturing business based in Staffordshire.
The ideal candidate should have solid procurement experience, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering environment, with a focus on strategic rather than operational roles.
Key qualifications include strong analytical skills, excellent negotiation abilities, and experience with category management.
Candidates should be driven and enthusiastic, with the ability to manage stakeholders effectively and implement category strategies for global improvements.
The role requires a minimum of 5 years of experience, with a competitive salary of £50,000 to £60,000.

I am currently recruiting for a Senior buyer for a global manufacturing business. They are looking for someone with solid procurement experience ideally gained within a manufacturing / engineering environment although this isn't essential. This award winning global business has 23 global manufacturing sites.

They are moving towards category management so are looking for someone more strategic than operational.

Key area of experience:

Strong analytical skills to identify improvement opportunities
Implementation of category strategies resulting in improvements both in the UK and globally
Excellent negotiation skills able to use different methods with different suppliers
Knowledge of manufacturing processes and cost drivers in related categories or an interest in learning this
Category management experience
Excellent stakeholder management skills

You need to be driven, enthusiastic and able to drive change.

This role is based in Staffordshire and is 100% on site
