Key Responsibilities:
Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons in French, Spanish, or German across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
Create a stimulating learning environment that fosters a love for languages and cultures.
Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners, ensuring all students can access and enjoy language learning.
Monitor student progress and provide effective feedback to support their development.
Promote the importance of languages in both academic and real-world contexts.
Collaborate with colleagues in the MFL department to develop innovative teaching resources and activities.
Ensure high standards of classroom management and student behavior.
Participate in school events, meetings, and continuous professional development.
Requirements:
A Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in a Modern Foreign Language or a related subject.
Experience teaching French, Spanish, or German in a secondary school setting (desirable but not essential).
Strong passion for language teaching and a commitment to student success.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to engage and inspire students, building their confidence in using a foreign language.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
A current DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
