Aspire People are excited to partner with secondary schools across Staffordshire to recruit dedicated and passionate educators. We are currently seeking a Physical Education (PE) Teacher for a short-term contract to join a dynamic school from January 2025 until Easter 2025. This is an excellent opportunity for a PE specialist looking for a rewarding teaching role on a short-term basis.
The Role:
As a PE Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. You will motivate students to lead healthy, active lifestyles and foster a love of sports and physical activity in a positive and supportive learning environment.
You will:
Teach PE lessons to students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, ensuring a broad and inclusive curriculum.
Promote the benefits of physical activity and sport to students, helping them to develop both physically and socially.
Plan and deliver engaging lessons that encourage participation and skill development in a variety of sports and physical activities.
Manage classroom behaviour to create a positive and engaging learning environment.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the PE department's provision.
Assess student progress and provide feedback to help students achieve their potential.
Requirements:
A qualified PE Teacher with a relevant degree or qualification in Physical Education or a related field.
Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or be eligible for QTS.
A passion for teaching PE and motivating students to reach their full potential.
Previous experience teaching PE at KS3 and KS4 is desirable.
Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
Able to create an engaging and supportive classroom environment.
A team player, willing to contribute to the wider school community and activities.
A DBS on the Update service or the willingness to purchase a new one.
