Academics are currently working with a Staffordshire middle school who are seeking to appoint a part-time (0.8) Teacher of Science. This position will be 4 days a week (Monday-Thursday) commencing in January as a fixed term maternity cover contract.

Role Requirements

  • Hold both the relevant Science degree and teaching qualification (PGCE, B. Ed or BA Hons) with UK Qualified Teaching Status (QTS/QTLS).
  • Have a current Enhanced DBS that is registered with the Update Service or to be prepared to apply for a new Enhanced DBS through ourselves (cost applied).
  • A passion for teaching Science with the ability to deliver and plan fun and engaging lessons to both Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 3.
  • Provide professional references that evidence your experience of teaching Science in a school setting.
  • Have strong behaviour management with excellent subject knowledge.

Please be aware that your rate will be dependent upon experience, prior qualifications, and the client rate that is available.For longer-term assignments you will be paid according to your teacher pay grade.
