Are you passionate about helping children with diverse needs and to help them achieve their full potential within local Primary Mainstream School? At Academics, we're looking for a dynamic Primary SEN Teaching Assistant to join our lovely team of Primary Staff.

You'll be delivering one to one support to a primary aged students with behavioural and emotional needs in our local Primary Mainstream Schools. You will be focused and dedicated; working intensively to offer support to the child you are assigned to. You'll take initiative, be resilient, and drive the pupil to achieve and progress. You'll work on learning activities, promote confidence, and encourage the pupil to act independently to succeed.

As A Primary SEN Teaching Assistant You'll Be…

  • An experienced teaching assistant or learning support assistant, familiar with young people with challenging behaviours, ADHD, or other disabilities and needs.
  • Comfortable working on a 121 and small group basis.
  • Able to hold student attention and focus with excellent communication skills.
  • Promote happiness, self-reliance and encourage positive interactions.

Requirements:

  • Have strong subject knowledge within English Maths and Science (GCSE A* - C).
  • Level 2 (and upwards) qualification in Teaching Assistant or equivalent (e.g., CACHE Level 2 Diploma, NVQ Level 2, or equivalent).
  • Be passionate about supporting children with their learning.
  • Have good behaviour management skills.
