The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering engaging, high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment across a range of engineering programmes. This includes leading the development and delivery of technical qualifications such as T Levels and higher technical qualifications at Levels 4-5. Responsibilities include ensuring outstanding outcomes for learners, meeting key performance targets, and contributing to programme design and development. The role spans teaching full-time, part-time, and apprenticeship programmes, with a particular focus on Level 3 and above. Key duties also include preparing and marking assessments, tracking student progress, and developing flexible learning materials.
The ideal candidate will hold a relevant engineering degree (e.g., Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, or Design Engineering) and demonstrate technical expertise at an advanced level. Prior industry experience is essential, along with current knowledge that aligns with industry standards. A teaching qualification (or a willingness to obtain one) is required, along with strong organisational skills to manage a dynamic workload. The candidate will have a passion for teaching and a commitment to helping students achieve exceptional outcomes while contributing to the growth of the engineering curriculum.

The role*Full training provided* Teach and mentor students at Level 1 through Level 4, including Higher Education students.* Develop and manage your own curriculum to deliver the best possible education.* Play a key role in supporting the Institute of Technology's mission to provide innovative, high-quality engineering education.
The person*Ideally holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering, but candidates with a HNC or HND will also be considered based on experience.*Needs to have a proven track record working as an engineering lecturer having experience working in a FE college.*a passionate and caring person who wants to get stuck in working with a group of great people.
