Our client, a forward-thinking organisation, is seeking a dedicated professional to join their finance team for a temporary six-month contract. Position: Financial AccountantContract Type: TemporaryLocation: Just a 7-minute walk from Staines train stationHourly Rate: £28 - £32 per hour Contract Length: 3 - 6 monthsStart Date: March 3, 2025End Date: June 3, 2025 (TBC)Working Pattern: Full Time

Key Responsibilities:As a Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring the integrity and accuracy of all financial accounts and finance systems
  • Leading the preparation of annual statutory accounts and regulatory returns
  • Managing day-to-day finance team operations
  • Overseeing purchase ledger, payroll, and revenue accounting
  • Managing the monthly ledger close process, including journal postings and reconciliations
  • Coordinating the annual external audit process with auditors and internal stakeholders
  • Maintaining and accurately recording the fixed asset register
  • Handling rent and service charge accounting, including annual increases and arrears reporting
  • Submitting regulatory returns in a timely manner, including NROSH SDR and Charity Commission returns
  • Overseeing the monthly payroll process to ensure timely and accurate employee payments
  • Implementing and maintaining financial policies and procedures
