We have a fantastic opportunity for a forklift / Warehouse Operative to join a team based in LHR, to work with a specialist transport service to the airfreight industry.This is a permanent role working 4on 4off shifts, holiday cover will be required so you need to be flexibleWe are looking for motivated, highly organised operatives who love a challenge, with a 'can do' attitude, with the ability to take instruction as well as work on their own initiative, whilst following Health & Safety Legislation.This is a varied role and will include, but is not limited to the following:
  • Operating a Fork Lift Truck to safely unload, load and move freight.
  • Checking in and booking in shipments on our in-house system
  •  Unloading and loading freight from company and third party vehicles (including double deck trailers)
  • Ensuring the warehouse is kept in a safe, tidy manner
  • Carrying out a variety of warehouse-related tasks
The right candidates must have:
  • Excellent Fork Lift Truck operating skills
  • Cargo Awareness (Level D certificate)
  • Airfreight/logistics industry experience an advantage
  • A full 5-year checkable work history
  • To enjoy physical and varied work
  • The ability to communicate well
  • The ability to produce computer generated paperwork
  • Great customer service and team working skills
