We are seeking a dedicated Legal Residential Conveyancing Secretary to join a law firm on a temporary basis. The role is based in Staines and offers a competitive hourly rate. The successful candidate will provide essential support to the conveyancing team, ensuring the smooth operation of the legal process for residential property transactions.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
  • Drafting, formatting, and proofreading legal documents and correspondence related to residential conveyancing.
  • Managing diaries, scheduling appointments, and ensuring all parties are informed of key dates and deadlines.
  • Liaising with clients, solicitors, and other professionals to facilitate communication and document exchange.
  • Conducting property searches and compiling reports.
  • Maintaining and organising files, both electronic and paper, to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Assisting with the preparation of completion statements and invoices.
  • Handling confidential information with discretion and in compliance with legal standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Legal Secretary, preferably within residential conveyancing.
  • Strong understanding of conveyancing processes and legal terminology.
  • Excellent typing and IT skills, including proficiency in MS Office and legal software.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Professional and proactive approach to work.
