Overview of the TV Technology Manager:

We are seeking aTV Technology Managerto work as part of the TV Research Team for this global product technology company based just outside of London. This position sits with the TV Research Team and their mission is to drive the business European TV strategy by:

  • Managing strategic relationships with EU broadcasters and network operators
  • Incubation of new technology and services moving from R&D into market deployment
  • Represent the company in TV Standards Development at EU and National Level
  • Represent the company in TV Regulatory activities at an EU and National Level

We are looking for a dynamic and creativeTV Technology Managerwho is passionate about the TV industry and has a strategic understanding of how the industry will evolve in future.

TV Technology Duties:

  • Provide tech-pre sales and business development support for the business by moving from Research and Development to commercial deployment
  • Represent the company and brand in EU & National TV Standardisation
  • Seek new technical and commercial innovation for the EU TV market
  • Analyse and react to an ever-evolving EU Regulatory Framework as it impacts the the TV business

What's in your DNA / Experience Needed:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Natural Science, Mathematics, Engineering or any related discipline
  • Understanding of consumer electronics technologies and business drivers
  • Understanding of digital audio/video fundamentals
  • Understanding of broadcast and streaming value chain technologies from Production through Distribution
  • Understanding of SmartTV Web technologies and trends
  • Able to represent company professionally in external engagements with 3rd parties and strategic partners
  • Ability to understand and innovate both commercial strategy and technology solutions
  • An effective communicator able to clearly present at external events and conferences
  • Ability to create meaningful, engaging presentations and deliver them to diverse audiences
  • Ability to develop and execute strategies to achieve business objectives
  • Willingness to travel internationally to support business needs.
