An award winning distributor supplying B2C customers in over 100 countries, with a strong reputation for customer service and the ability to supply quickly is seeking a Procurement Manager.

The Procurement Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the company's procurement processes. This will include sourcing, negotiation, and purchasing of parts and services to meet the company's operational needs.

Do you have a background in procuring electronics or electrical parts or car parts from across Europe, good at sourcing new suppliers and negotiating terms?

Key Responsibilities of the Procurement Manager

  • Being able to source, by identifying, evaluating and selecting suitable European suppliers within the automotive industry.
  • Negotiate terms with suppliers, costs and contracts, putting in place SLA's
  • Able to source goods quickly to fulfil large or high value orders at best pricing.
  • Working with warehouse in North UK and across Europe including Third party warehousing, manage stock levels, preventing overstocking and shortages.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with key suppliers to ensure long-term partnerships, revising and monitoring SLA's and providing feedback.
  • Keep abreast of market trends, supplier developments, and pricing fluctuations including foreign exchange rates to make informed procurement decisions.
  • Prepare regular reports on procurement activities and set performance benchmarks.

Experience required for the Procurement Manager

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a procurement or buying role ideally in product distribution businesses B2C customers.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • High level of computer proficiency.
  • Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
  • Knowledge of procurement best practices.
