I am recruiting for an Assessment/Product Manager (within the Engineering Inspection Bodies) division for a repeat client specialising in the assessment & accreditation of UK organisations. The successful candidate will have a good understanding of product and process compliance systems with a real passion for quality and hands-on experience in Engineering Inspection. This is a full-time remote position, working from 9am–5pm, Monday to Friday. You should also expect to travel for up to 2-3 days per week, with at least 2 nights spent away from home. 

Main Duties: 

  • Act as the key focal point for customers
  • Meet customers' reasonable accreditation expectations with objectivity, diligence, and excellent customer service
  • Select, lead & project manage assessment teams
  • Establish the assessment approach
  • Collate and report each assessment
  • Progressing each assessment project from start to finish
  • Extensive travel (60% of working week) mainly within the UK, with frequent overnight stays (2 nights per week), scheduled 6 months in advance.
  • Attend classroom-style training for the first 5-6 weeks, followed by field experience shadowing a colleague. You can expect to be working independently after 12-18 months.

Key Requirements: 

  • Good understanding and experience (2-5 years) of product and process compliance systems applicable to the engineering inspection sector, preferably using ISO/IEC 17065, ISO/IEC 17020 and ISO/IEC 17025 - essential.
  • Be customer-focused with excellent interpersonal, communication and organisation skills - essential
  • Be educated to degree level -ideal but not essential.
  • Must hold a UK driving license and own vehicle - essential.
  • Have experience in organisation auditing or assessment - essential.
  • Commercial-minded with excellent people and project management skills - essential.
  • Must be comfortable travelling for up to 60% of your working week, spending 2 nights awayfrom home - essential.
