Tradewind are seeking a committed KS1 teacher with ambition and drive to lead a lovely Year 2 classfrom January! If you're an experienced teacher looking to work in Stalybridge, this role is for you!

An exciting opportunity presents for an experienced teacher looking to work in Stalybridge, within a to be a welcome addition to the KS1 department and lead a Year 2 class to educational success! This role will begin in January at the start of the Spring Term and be paid on the main pay scale (MPS1-6). The role will run at least until the end of the academic year with the potential to stay on, depending on your success and school movement.

Year 2 Teacher

As the Year 2 teacher, you will be familiar with the national curriculum and age-related expectations for this primary phase. You will have experience in Read Write Inc phonics to support children to become fluent, passionate and confident readers and courage speaking and listening through Fred talk and collaborative tasks in pairs and small groups.

Key responsibilities will include:

-Delivering engaging and creative lessons in line with Year 2 National curriculum standards

-Delivering phonics from the Read Write Inc scheme and support reading for pleasure

-Planning and delivering effective Maths lessons so pupils are fluent in the fundamentals and can achieve proficiently and conceptual understanding

-Ensure lessons are inclusive and cater for visual, audio and kinesthetic learners.

-Have a nurturing approach with the class and build strong relationships with children, staff and families

-Use formative and summative assessment strategies effectively to determine the need for intervention and to address misconceptions and drive progress

-Be a fantastic team player to communicate and inform the TA of daily activities

-Contribute to the wider life of the school
