Reeson Education is recruiting a committed and compassionate Maths Teacher to join a specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) school in the SK15 area. This full-time, long-term Maths Teacher role is an excellent opportunity for someone with QTS who is passionate about supporting pupils who have experienced significant barriers to education.

The school caters to pupils aged 11-16 with a range of SEMH needs and associated learning difficulties. As a Maths Teacher, you'll play a key role in helping learners build confidence and achieve progress in a subject many may find challenging.

Maths Teacher - Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, accessible Maths lessons tailored to the needs of SEMH pupils.

  • Work collaboratively with support staff to ensure lessons are inclusive and adapted to individual needs.

  • Foster positive relationships with pupils, encouraging emotional regulation and motivation.

  • Support students working below age-related expectations with patience and creativity.

  • Maintain clear boundaries and routines while promoting a safe and respectful classroom environment.

The Ideal Maths Teacher Will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

  • Have experience teaching Maths at secondary level.

  • Be confident working with students with SEMH needs, low attainment, or challenging behaviour.

  • Be resilient, empathetic, and able to remain calm under pressure.
