As they continue to grow, they are seeking Deputy Service Manager to join their dynamic team and contribute to their vision.Job Description:As the Deputy Service Manager you will take the lead in ensuring the highest standards of support and accommodation for their young people. This role encompasses more than just managing day-to-day operations; it involves championing an environment that is nurturing and safe, fostering growth, resilience, and a sense of belonging. Leading a dedicated support team, you will collaborate closely with key departments and senior management to ensure thier young people receive the necessary advice, guidance, and support, to learn essential life skills and successfully transition to adulthood.Responsibilities:* Ensure the smooth operation of the homes, promoting a safe and caring environment for all young people.* Lead and inspire the support team, delivering supervisions, probations, and appraisals, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure high-quality care delivery and adherence to regulatory guidelines and standards.* Work closely with the support team to develop and implement support plans and safety plans tailored to meet the needs of each young person, ensuring their well-being.* Conduct regular assessments and reviews of each young person's progress, working collaboratively with relevant professionals, families, and external agencies to create person centred support plans.* Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging environment within the home, promoting a sense of belonging and empowerment for the young people.* Plan and lead team meetings, and multidisciplinary discussions to ensure effective communication, coordination, and collaboration with external stakeholders.* Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements and organisational policies.* Handle any crisis situations or incidents promptly and effectively, ensuring appropriate safeguarding procedures and strategies.* lead on the implementation of policies, procedures, and quality assurance.* Promote the involvement of young people in decision-making processes, actively encouraging their participation and listening to their perspectives.Requirements:* Minimum of 2 years supervisory/management experience * Hold a Diploma Level 3/4 in Children, Young People, and Families practitioner.* Hold or be willing to work Level 5 in Children, Young People and Families Manager or be willing to undertake this.* Minimum 2 years' experience working in children's social care, supported accommodation or similar setting.* Knowledge of regulatory requirements, legislation, and best practices in supported accommodation, safeguarding and child protection.* Demonstrated leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with staff, young people, families, and external stakeholders.* A compassionate and empathetic nature, with a genuine commitment to improving the lives of young people.* Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines, and handle multiple responsibilities effectively.* Flexibility to work on a shift basis.Benefits:* Intensive induction and continuous professional development opportunities.* Employee assist programme.* Cash health plan.* Pension scheme.* 30-33 days annual leave entitlement.* DBS costs refunded following successful probation and update service costs covered during employment.* Long service rewards.* Crisis fund for times of hardship.* Referral programme.* Company events.* Proud members of the Greater Manchester Good Employment Charter.Disability Confident - Armed Forces Covenant - Good Employment Charter - The Princes Responsible Business Network - Menopause Workplace PledgePlease note: If successful in the role, all candidates are subject to pre-employment checks.
