We are seeking an Accounts Assistant to support the Finance and Office Manager in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the department. This role involves a variety of administrative and accounts tasks.
Day-to-day of the role:- Perform accounts payable and receivable tasks.
- Credit control, chasing payments via phone and email.
- Maintain the customer and invoicing database, ensuring all data is up-to-date.
- Generate monthly spending reports for review by the office and finance manager.
- Provide holiday cover for the sales administrator and the service and administrator.
- Manage the ordering of stationery, packaging, and welfare supplies while keeping spending within budget.
- Handle filing, scanning, and data inputting tasks as needed.
- Produce monthly stock reports and manage exhibition stock requirements.
- Answer telephone calls, handle office visitors, and manage scheduling for meetings.
- Undertake any additional tasks as assigned by the finance and office manager.
- Proven experience in administrative roles, preferably within a finance setting.
- Strong skills in time management and personal organisation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word) and PDFs.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and operate in a team environment.
