With a strong commitment to quality, performance, and compliance, we are seeking a skilled NPD Senior Electrical Engineer to join their New Product Development (NPD) team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge designs and deliver high-quality products to meet customer needs.

The Role

As an NPD Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for defining, designing, and delivering new and enhanced products that meet performance, compliance, and quality standards. You will work closely with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to ensure efficient and cost-effective product development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead concept creation using market and customer requirements, including Voice of Customer (VOC) exercises.

  • Develop electrical designs using analysis tools and create electrical drawings, schematics, and models with CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks Electrical, or equivalent).

  • Define, lead, and support FMEA analysis, validation, and testing programs.

  • Ensure designs are optimized for manufacturability (DFM) and meet performance targets.

  • Produce technical specifications, BOMs, test reports, and engineering documentation.

  • Stay ahead of emerging electrical technologies to drive product innovation and improvement.

  • Improve systems and processes to enhance team efficiency and product development.

  • Ensure compliance with CE, UL, CSA, and other relevant safety and regulatory standards.

What We're Looking For
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering (BS/BEng) or equivalent.

  • 5+ years of experience in a New Product Development (NPD) role.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks Electrical, or equivalent software.

  • Strong understanding of HV, MV, and LV circuits, with experience in load banks, gensets, transformers, and power transmission systems preferred.

  • Problem-solving mindset with adaptability, decision-making ability, and drive for continuous improvement.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, comfortable engaging with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Professional Engineering (PE) status is a plus but not required.
