We are currently recruiting for an Occupational Therapist, providing therapy services as part of the integrated, multidisciplinary therapy team at Wilds Lodge School.Your role will include applying and developing your clinical skills in delivering hands-on OT intervention to learners with social emotional and mental health needs with supervision from the SENCO. You will apply and develop your clinical skills in delivering hands-on Occupational Therapy, ensuring the provision of a high standard of assessment, treatment and advice to learners and their families accessing the school.We are looking for an enthusiastic qualified Occupational Therapist to join a team of therapists consisting of a Speech and Language Therapist, Art, Drama, and Music Therapists and Clinical and Educational Psychologists. Three days a week? 8.30am - 2.30pm? Term time onlyEssential Requirements? A degree in Occupational Therapy (or similar) and HCPC membership? Minimum 1 years' experience as a qualified Occupational Therapist? Experience of assessing and implementing appropriate management plans for OT and delivery of OT assessment and interventions? Knowledge of range of appropriate pediatric occupational therapy interventions? Excellent interpersonal skills. You will also be empathetic and assertive with a good sense of humour!? Experience working with children and young people with Social, Emotional and Behavioural issues (desirable)
About Wilds LodgeWilds Lodge School is an independent 38 week specialist boarding and day provision for boys and girls (girls are accepted as day learners only) for learners aged between 5 and 19 with social, emotional and mental health difficulties, set in Empingham, Rutland. All the learners at the school have an Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP).It was established in 2007 and aims to place an equal emphasis on the educational, social and psychological development of our learners.
