GBR Recruitment, are delighted to be working exclusively with a highly progressivesteel fabrication, civils & general turnkey construction business, recruiting for an experienced Quantity Surveyorto join their commercial team, responsible for agreeing & negotiating contracts,collating costs & putting togethertender submissions, contract management from a commercial perspective, cost analysis / cost variations management, working with the purchasing team for buyingrequired products & services (materials, labour & plant machinery), budget management, CVR, project delivery risk mitigation &final accounts submission.

This people centric employer is seeking a time-servedQuantity Surveying professionalwho has ideally had exposure to steel installations & fabrication, or civils & groundwork's, M&E solutions or general turnkey construction project delivery.

Quantity Surveyor Duties:

  • A key member of the commercial team, collating costs, producing tender submissions & responsibile formanaging your own contracts.
  • Accurate tender preparation & submission to clients.
  • Cost analysis & regular review.
  • Use practical knowledge to support commercial opportunity within the Build Teams scope.
  • Review, raising and submit variations ensuring PO cover.
  • Interim &final account submissions.
  • Ensure project contract terms &conditions cover liability for all commercial risk.
  • Client liaison, ensuring all information is shared within the correct allocated project team.
  • Arrange and attend regular client meetings to support relationships &new business opportunity.
  • Support the finance team with any relevant commercial information to resolve & close out invoice queries.
  • Financial reporting on project success.

Quantity Surveyor Attributes:

  • Construction site experience is preferable
  • BSc, MSc or HND in Quantity Surveying or similar experience would be required or timeserved QBE.
  • Steels, Civils, Telecoms or Utilities experience preferable.
  • Knowledge of full Turnkey Construction, Civils &Groundworks or similar
  • Conversant with CRM & Microsoft Office suite of applications (Excel).
