Duties include the delivery of speech and language therapy assessments and interventions ensuring that programmes are integral to the student's education and development. You will have sound knowledge and use of a wide range of speech and language therapy methods and interventions for children and young people with social, emotional and mental health difficulties, autism, learning disabilities, and other special educational needs.This position offers excellent professional development opportunities, together with professional autonomy. We are seeking people who thrive on working in a challenging but immensely rewarding environment, who are passionate about supporting the development of social, life and independence skills and who truly want to make a difference in the lives of young people.This is a term time only position for part time candidates wanting to work 3 days per week.Essential Requirements* A degree or equivalent in Speech and Language Therapy* Extensive and relevant experience post registration* HCPC and RCSLT membership* Full driving licence* Well-established knowledge about developmental speech and language disorders and communication disorders associated with complex conditions and emotional/behavioural disorders* Experience working in an educational setting with young people with social communication disorders (desirable)About Wilds Lodge SchoolWilds Lodge School is an independent 38 week specialist boarding and day provision for boys and girls (girls are accepted as day students only) for students aged between 5 and 19 with social, emotional and mental health difficulties, set in Empingham, Rutland.
