Our welcoming Client is currently seeking an experienced Fuels Technician in a Technical Services Team leading highly complex projects and formulates - as part of the projects - bespoke and technical products for the speciality fuels market - servicing the downstream Oil Majors, Automotive, Aerospace and Motorsport industries.

Main responsibilities of the role include:

Responsible for the execution and coordination of multiple projects as well as the formulation of fuels - also acting as mentor to the wider team - to ensure site production operates along its highest level of efficiency. Actively support commercial- and procurement requests, incl. customer visits and technical procurement initiatives. All this while adhering to HSE guidelines and best practice guidelines and striving to deliver exceptional customer service and formulation excellence throughout the formulation stage.

  • Managing multiple projects from start-to-finish.
  • Define formulation of a wide range of fuel blends fully independently and consistently, using a combination of blend formulation models and empirical blending.
  • The independent troubleshooting of arising problems during any step of a project, i.e., production, logistics or commercial related.
  • Identify new applications for fuel products using input from customers or marketing.
  • Identifying and implementing best new practise processes in coordination with the Technical Services Manager.
  • Assist in raw material blend component specification, sourcing, testing and approval.
  • Participation in customer meetings and providing pre- and post-sales customer technical support.
  • To provide leadership and mentoring to other members of the team.

Skills and Experience

  • A Degree in Chemistry (or equivalent) is essential
  • Minimum Laboratory experience (familiarity with standard fuel test methods) of 2+ Years
  • Project experience - Successful management and completion of projects
  • Driver & own transport is required due to the location of this Client
