Role: Highways Supervisor
Location: London, UK
Salary: £45,000-£55,000 per annum
Our client is seeking an experienced Highways Supervisor to manage the maintenance of assets of a busy highways contract. This role involves overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, and delivering maintenance projects efficiently.
Responsibilities:
·Operations: Supervise contractors, monitor works during shifts, and ensure accurate reporting with photographic evidence.
·Health & Safety: Conduct site audits, liaise with H&S advisors, deliver toolbox talks, and enforce compliance.
·Asset Management: Manage defects and updates in the asset management system, oversee depot activities, and handle stock control and plant maintenance.
·Coordination: Develop work programmes, manage traffic management requirements, and liaise with internal teams and stakeholders.
·Additional Tasks: Respond to complaints, investigate claims, and assist with winter maintenance and abnormal load movements as needed.
Requirements:
·Experience in a similar supervisory role within the highways sector
·NRSWA Supervisor certification
·LANTRA accreditation
·SSSTS or equivalent Health & Safety training
·Highways asset management (desirable)
·Highway construction project supervision (essential)
·Knowledge of NEC contracts
·Strong communication and organisational abilities
·Experience with Outlook, Word, Excel, and asset management systems
·Valid driving licence
·Willing to work night shifts when required
