The role focuses on developing high-quality Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) for engineering projects across a variety of industries.The P&ID Designer will ideally have the following attributes:
  • Proven experience in creating P&IDs, ideally within industries such as process, oil & gas, manufacturing, or engineering
  • Proficiency with design software such as AutoCAD, Plant 3D, or similar tools
  • Strong understanding of process engineering principles and symbology
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards and codes (e.g., ISO, ASME, or API)
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce accurate, high-quality diagrams
  • Strong communication skills for collaborating with engineering and project teams
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
The P&ID Designer role will involve:
  • Creating and updating Process and Instrumentation Diagrams for various engineering projects
  • Collaborating with process engineers and project teams to gather requirements and ensure accurate representations
  • Ensuring all diagrams comply with industry standards and project specifications
  • Managing document control and revision updates for P&ID drawings
  • Assisting in design reviews and providing technical input to optimize processes
  • Identifying and resolving design inconsistencies or errors
  • Supporting the wider engineering team with design-related tasks as required
