Due to department growth a fantastic opportunity has arisen for a European Road freight Operations to join a dynamic and growing Basildon based Freight forwarder. The company have been established for over 50 years and have enjoyed sustained and steady growth throughout that period. The is great chance for someone with a proven track record in European Road freight to join a fantastic team within the a successful business.
Monday to Friday 9am - 5:30pm
£27,500 - £32,000 (Plus Bonus)

- Working closely with the sales/business development team
- Customer liaison - making and taking job bookings.
- Arranging collections/deliveries with sub-contractors
- Helping organise Groupage movements both in and out of the UK.
- Negotiating rates with customers
- Developing and building relationships with new and current customers/sub-contractors
- Attending monthly departmental/accounts meetings
- Working closely with senior staff of other departments and having strategic input on direction, planning and processes
Key Skills
- Must be proactive and driven and wish to add value by implementing ideas and solutions.
- Have experience working on either imports/exports or both arranging Groupage loads
- Have general experience of European sector and Countries as mentioned above.
