The Maintenance Engineer position is available with a leading Blue Chip Manufacturing firm located in Basildon.
This role offers a competitive salary of £58,500 per annum and includes a KPI bonus along with overtime pay at 1.5 and 2 times the standard rate.
Candidates should have a recognized Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent qualification, along with a high degree of Health & Safety awareness.
The job involves providing plant-wide maintenance services, supporting machine setups, and ensuring production targets are met.
Ideal candidates may have experience as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, Electrical Maintenance Engineer, or in similar roles, with a focus on fault finding and problem-solving.

Main Duties & Responsibilities of Maintenance Engineer include:

Providing plant-wide maintenance service, departmental support and repairs ensuring that all production targets are maintained - maintaining factory manufacturing machinery
Monitor & supply Engineering support of machine set-up & changeovers to ensure that the product conforms to any quality assurance standards and ensuring changeovers are as efficient as possible.

Experience and Qualifications Required for Maintenance Engineer:

Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship & Qualification or equivalent, e.g. NVQ, City and Guilds, ONC, BTEC or above - Mechanical or Electrical
High degree of Health & Safety awareness.
Ability to fault find, repair and provide solutions to problems.
