We are seeking a dedicated Finance / Payroll Administrator to join our team. This role involves a range of duties from managing payroll processes to providing administrative support to the accounting department, including handling purchase ledger tasks. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in payroll and a keen eye for detail.
Day-to-day of the role:- Provide information and answer employee queries regarding payroll-related matters.
- Manage electronic timekeeping systems or manually collect and review timesheets.
- Calculate payable hours, commissions, bonuses, tax withholdings, and deductions.
- Prepare and issue earnings statements.
- Issue paychecks and manage direct deposits.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records.
- Coordinate with the HR department to ensure correct employee data is maintained.
- Provide administrative assistance to the accounting department.
- Analyse financial records to identify errors and discrepancies.
- Regularly update all accounting ledgers and journals.
- Handle purchase ledger tasks including processing invoices and reconciling supplier statements.
- Must have significant payroll experience.
- Proficient in managing large sets of financial data and reporting on financial results.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial information.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of standard accounting and payroll software.
