Premier Engineering is seeking a skilled P&ID Designer to join a forward-thinking team. The role focuses on developing high-quality Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) for engineering projects across a variety of industries.
The P&ID Designer will ideally have the following attributes:
- Proven experience in creating P&IDs, ideally within industries such as process, oil & gas, manufacturing, or engineering
- Proficiency with design software such as AutoCAD, Plant 3D, or similar tools
- Strong understanding of process engineering principles and symbology
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards and codes (e.g., ISO, ASME, or API)
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce accurate, high-quality diagrams
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with engineering and project teams
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Creating and updating Process and Instrumentation Diagrams for various engineering projects
- Collaborating with process engineers and project teams to gather requirements and ensure accurate representations
- Ensuring all diagrams comply with industry standards and project specifications
- Managing document control and revision updates for P&ID drawings
- Assisting in design reviews and providing technical input to optimize processes
- Identifying and resolving design inconsistencies or errors
- Supporting the wider engineering team with design-related tasks as required
