About the Role:

As a Transport Planning Dispatcher, you will oversee the live performance of our distribution teams, reacting swiftly to unplanned changes such as vehicle breakdowns, driver absenteeism, or customer emergencies. Your role will ensure the day's plan runs efficiently while meeting customer expectations. You’ll be the critical link between customer service and distribution teams, ensuring clear communication and effective resolution of challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and adjust live distribution plans to address disruptions while maintaining efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Communicate with customer services, schedulers, and distribution teams to ensure alignment and resolve issues quickly.
  • Provide updates on customer runouts, vehicle breakdowns, or unforeseen changes to senior management.
  • Compile and share reports on distribution progress and highlight areas for improvement.
  • Support the safety agenda by optimising routes, updating customer master data, and improving driver wellbeing.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience: Call centre or fast-paced environment experience is essential. A transport background is advantageous but not required training will be provided.
  • Skills:
    • Strong administrative abilities and attention to detail.
    • Confident communicator via phone, email, and face-to-face interactions.
    • Comfortable making decisions under pressure and balancing priorities effectively.
    • Process-oriented with a continuous improvement mindset.
