Gap Healthcare is recruiting on behalf of our client for a dedicated Service manager in Stanford Le-Hope. The role involves overseeing the day-to-day operations of their supported living service in Stanford-le-Hope.
The Service Manager will be responsible for managing a dedicated team of care and support staff while ensuring the highest standards of care and compliance with regulatory frameworks. Responsibilities:
Leadership & Management:
- Provide strong leadership, creating a positive and supportive work environment.
- Recruit, train, and supervise staff, ensuring a skilled and motivated team.
- Hold regular team meetings and supervisions to maintain clear communication.
- Promote a person-centred culture in all aspects of service delivery.
Compliance & Regulatory Responsibilities:
- Ensure the service meets CQC regulations and all legal requirements.
- Keep documentation accurate, up-to-date, and fully compliant.
- Uphold safeguarding policies to protect service users.
Service User Support & Wellbeing:
- Oversee and review person-centred support plans to ensure quality care.
- Advocate for service users, supporting their independence, choice, and rights.
- Manage risks while ensuring service users receive safe, tailored support.
- Support individuals with their financial, emotional, and social wellbeing.
Rotas & Staffing:
- Manage staff rotas, ensuring adequate cover and a good work-life balance.
- Develop contingency plans for absences and emergencies.
- Assist with recruitment and retention strategies to build a strong team.
Health & Safety:
- Ensure compliance with fire safety and infection control.
- Conduct regular risk assessments for staff, service users, and the environment.
- Oversee the maintenance and safe use of equipment and facilities.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication:
- Liaise with families, local authorities, and healthcare professionals.
- Collaborate with social workers, commissioners, and external agencies.
- Keep service users and families informed, providing regular updates and support.
Continuous Improvement & Service Development:
- Monitor and evaluate service delivery, identifying areas for improvement.
- Implement action plans following audits, inspections, and feedback.
- Promote training and professional development opportunities for staff.
