Adecco are proud to be working exclusively with an expanding company who are seeking a Transport Operator
Salary: £32,000 - £40,000 p/a dependant on experience
Working days: Monday to Friday
Working hours: 8am till 6pm
Duration of contract: Permanent
Location: Stanford Le Hope
Duties:
- Planning & checking routes
- Day 1, Checking, routing, maintaining & problem solving (see operator checklist/timeline)
- Liaising with fleet regarding services
- Liaising with port expediters/supervisors ensuring jobs are being dispatched
- Arranging parking & night out procedures
- Liaising with customer service and HR teams
Skills:
- Knowledge of transportation regulations
- Flexible with working hours - may be required to be on call
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Proficiency in VBS systems for ports, TOPS, and Destin8 systems.
- Previous experience working with containers is required.
