Trailer Technician required in Stanford-le-Hope, Essex.Our automotive client has a fleet of heavy good trailers that require maintenance and repair throughout the year. They are looking for a Trailer Technician to come and work at their busy site.The role of aTrailer Technician vacancy includes:
  • General Maintenance, Inspections and MOT Prep on Semi-Trailers and Drawbar-Trailers.
  • Remove and replace brakes, brake drums, hubs, seals, bearings, races and associated parts.
  • Repair electrical and lighting systems.
  • Repair or replace chassis components such as springs, spring hangers, equalizers, complete slider assemblies, axles, and sub frames.
  • Repair mud flap brackets and dolly leg assembles.
  • Repair or replace flooring, rub rails, doors and door trim.
  • Repair roofs, panels, nose panels, lower and upper rails.
  • Conform to all safety and health standards as outlined by the Company.
Our client is actively looking for a Trailer Technician either from a heavy good background of light vehicle background that wants the opportunity to move into the heavy good side of the industry, ideally fully qualified but this isn’t essential however a full UK driving licence and your own tools are essential. Details of this Trailer Technician vacancy include:
  • Competitive salary of £44,000 p.a. – this includes late shift allowance.
  • Hours are Monday to Friday 3.00pm to 11.00pm.
  • If you wish to work Saturdays you can, this is optional and will be paid at time and a half.
  • Overtime is also available in the week prior to your shift starting at time and a half.
  • Holiday Allowance: 20 days holiday + bank holidays, with 1 extra day per year up to a maximum of 25 days (over a 5 year period).
  • Annual Health Assessment.
  • EV and Level 3 in Vehicle Mechanics Training.
  • All PPE and workwear provided.
