Salary: £29000+ (Dependent on experience and qualifications, with increase after probation)

Hours: 45 hours per week, will accept part-time/job share

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to join a private nursery based in Stanley, Wakefield WF3. This role is ideal for someone who is proactive, motivational, and looking to grow within the early years sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing a nursery
  • Cover rooms when required and ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Conduct staff supervisions and manage team performance.
  • Understand and manage the nursery budget effectively.
  • Build strong relationships with parents, staff, and the wider community.
  • Uphold and promote safeguarding, child protection, and food hygiene standards.
  • Participate in and prepare for Ofsted inspections.
  • Implement and understand the Curiosity Approach to early years education.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of Level 3 qualifications.
  • Up-to-date First Aid, Safeguarding Child Protection, and Food Hygiene training.
  • Updated DBS check.
  • At least 2 years of experience as a deputy manager in the same setting, with the aspiration to become a senior deputy and eventually a manager.
  • Ability to motivate and lead a team effectively.
  • Experience in dealing with Ofsted inspections.
  • Outgoing personality with strong communication skills.
