Are you an experienced Health & Safety professional looking for a hands-on role with strategic oversight?

We’re seeking a dynamic Group Health & Safety Manager to join our team and take the lead in ensuring our operations are compliant, safe, and continually improving. With multiple sites and diverse operations, this is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a proactive individual to make a significant impact.

The Role
As a key member of our Leadership Team, you will:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain robust health & safety policies and procedures across all sites.
  • Ensure statutory obligations are met, including training and reporting, and act as the point of contact for statutory bodies.
  • Support and coach departmental managers to take ownership of health & safety within their areas.
  • Conduct and review risk assessments, COSHH records, and safety inspections.
  • Investigate accidents, identify trends, and provide detailed reports to the Leadership Team.
  • Chair health & safety committee meetings, driving action plans and ensuring timely follow-up.
  • Champion safety improvement projects and initiatives across the group.
  • Keep the business informed of relevant legislative changes and recommend actionable steps.
  • Provide out-of-hours support when required, such as emergency incident management or training.

What We’re Looking For

  • A practical, hands-on approach coupled with the ability to think strategically and plan for future needs.
  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably across multi-site operations.
  • Strong knowledge of health & safety legislation and its practical application.
  • Confidence in coaching and mentoring managers to take responsibility for their teams' safety.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to bring solutions, not just ideas, to meetings.
  • Willingness to travel between sites as required (full UK driving licence essential).
