Job Description
As a Sales Engineer, you will play a key role in managing technical sales, engaging with strategic customers, and driving business growth. Reporting to the Commercial Director, you will act as the link between technical expertise and commercial success, ensuring customer needs are met with precision and excellence.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading technical sales efforts, developing new business, and nurturing existing accounts.
- Providing technical guidance, from pre-sales consultations to post-implementation support.
- Reviewing customer specifications, identifying risks, and preparing accurate quotations.
- Acting as the primary liaison between clients and internal teams, advocating for customer needs.
- Managing key accounts and ensuring seamless communication between engineering, planning, and production teams.
- Supporting project management for complex client requirements, ensuring timely and high-quality deliveries.
- Communicating sales pipeline updates and progress reports to senior management.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Sales Engineer, ideally within the manufacturing or engineering sector.
- Strong technical knowledge, with the ability to understand and interpret engineering specifications and drawings.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with customers and internal teams at all levels.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively.
- A consultative, customer-first approach with a passion for problem-solving.
- Proficiency in MS Office and relevant IT tools.
- Ability to travel independently for client meetings and overnight stays when required.
