We are seeking a dedicated Progress Coach to play a pivotal role in supporting 16–19-year-old students to succeed in their courses. This position involves both one-on-one and group coaching, focusing on personal and academic development within a vibrant educational setting.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Actively monitor student progress within their study programmes.
  • Serve as a mentor and advocate for students, providing necessary support and guidance.
  • Set and monitor targets within individual learning plans (ILPs).
  • Conduct 1:1 progress reviews to ensure students are on track and address any concerns.
  • Prepare students for both internal progression and external transition from the College.
  • Deliver the personal development curriculum through group tutorials focusing on PHSE subjects.
  • Facilitate the Directed Digital Study (DDS) programme, aiding students in becoming independent learners.
  • Deliver the Skills Passport programme to groups, helping learners develop essential skills for workplace readiness.
  • Encourage student participation in wider College activities.
  • Enhance relationships with parents and carers to support student development.
  • Contribute to the overall wellbeing, support, and care of young people at the College.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in coaching or mentoring young adults, preferably within an educational setting.
  • Strong understanding of the academic and personal development needs of 16–19-year-old students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with students, staff, and parents effectively.
  • Ability to deliver educational programmes and monitor progress effectively.
  • A commitment to the personal growth and academic success of students.
  • Enthusiastic about contributing to a supportive and dynamic educational environment.
