We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Junior Biomedical Engineer to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract (materinty cover). This is an exciting opportunity for someone with 1-3 years of experience in biomedical engineering, looking to further develop their expertise in the healthcare sector.

As a Junior Biomedical Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing medical equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards and enhancing the quality of patient care. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team, contributing to projects that support patient safety and operational efficiency within healthcare facilities.

Junior Biomedical Engineer (12-Month FTC) - Key Responsibilities:
  • Medical Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance, inspection, and repairs on biomedical equipment to ensure optimal functionality and compliance with safety standards.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues with a range of medical devices, working independently and as part of a team to resolve problems efficiently.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, repairs, and calibration activities, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.
  • User Training: Assist in training healthcare staff on the safe and effective use of medical equipment.
  • Compliance: Ensure all work complies with relevant health and safety regulations, as well as internal policies and procedures.
Junior Biomedical Engineer (12-Month FTC) - Key Requirements:
  • Experience: 1-3 years of experience in biomedical engineering within the UK healthcare sector.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering or a related discipline.
